大黃蜂是《空洞騎士》中的NPC兼主要角色之一；同時她也是《空洞騎士：絲綢之歌》的主人公。
在《空洞騎士》中，大黃蜂是聖巢遺蹟的神秘守護者。
官方手冊對她的描述為：「（大黃蜂是）在聖巢最深處尋求答案的神秘漫遊者。她憑藉自己的精湛技藝駕馭着針與線。」[3]
她是「一隻穿着紅色披風的蟲子；她的速度和能力都與其強大氣場相稱。她在戰鬥中優雅而靈巧地揮舞針線，這兩件工具同時也讓她能夠在聖巢領土上熟練地找到方向。」[4]
劇情
- 大黃蜂是蒼白之王與深巢王后——野獸赫拉的女兒。她的出生實際上是赫拉與白王交易的結果；她與生母赫拉的相處時光也極為短暫。
- 她與小騎士以及其他容器互為同胞，擁有同一個父親，即蒼白之王。
- 於深邃巢穴中出生、成長的大黃蜂，在瘟疫肆虐與王國衰落中存活了下來，遊走在遺蹟中。
- 她的職責便是驅逐破壞遺蹟的遊客，守護黑卵聖殿的封印。存放着王之印記——通往深淵的鑰匙的遺棄外殼也是她的保護目標之一。
- 巡邏途中，大黃蜂在呼嘯懸崖遇到了奎若。一心想擊退對方的大黃蜂在戰鬥中認出了莫諾蒙的面具，她隨後意識到奎若是被其召喚而來，儘管奎若本身完全不知情。
- 與奎若和小騎士一樣，大黃蜂也發覺到瘟疫的復甦，並開始在聖巢四處尋求答案。
- 在《空洞騎士》中，她恪盡職守，力挽狂瀾，將聖巢從毀滅的命運中挽救。而在《空洞騎士：絲綢之歌》中，她被抓捕到了另一個詭秘的國度中，開啟了另一段旅程。
事件
小騎士會在蒼綠之徑首次遇見大黃蜂。發現小騎士的到來後，她會迅速離開。大黃蜂會在朝聖者之路上多次出現，直至將小騎士引到烏恩之湖的入口。
小騎士的任務是去打破瘟疫的封印，而大黃蜂的職責是守護這些封印。從她身旁的容器殘骸看來，大黃蜂已經阻止過其他容器繼續前進了。
擊敗大黃蜂后，她會和之前一樣藉助長線迅速逃走。獲得成就「決心考驗」。
- 淚城的相遇只會在沒有遇到崗哨大黃蜂時觸發。
在真菌荒地的朝聖者之路盡頭，大黃蜂再次現身，依靠自己的長線跨越酸水，來到了對岸的淚水之城。
首次來到淚水之城的噴泉下，大黃蜂會停下來與小騎士對話。
大黃蜂最終理解了小騎士的出身與任務，鼓勵它去挖掘聖巢至今所作的種種犧牲。她還說，如果在了解真相後，小騎士仍然想繼續聖巢永垂不朽的事業，就到遺棄外殼去找她。
王國邊緣處。在將聖巢的未來託付於小騎士之前，大黃蜂會以另一場戰鬥來考驗其決心。擊敗她後獲得成就「決心證明」。
沒有像前一場戰鬥保留實力的大黃蜂在被擊敗後，允許小騎士前進，在遺棄外殼中獲取王之印記。
她相信，即使小騎士了解到深淵底部，容器的出生之謎後，也依然願意去打破封印。這股信念促使她及時救出了被灰燼掩埋的小騎士。事後她一言不發便離開了。
- 如果在遇到赫拉之前就獲得了王之印記，那麼小騎士會在醒來後看見大黃蜂正坐在旁邊。
不像先前一樣匆忙離開，大黃蜂這次讓自己休息了一會兒，悼念着逝去的母親。
她告訴小騎士，儘管這個世界多災多難，她還是很感謝母親的生育之恩，或許唯有放手並繼承母親的責任，才能償還這份親情。
雖然她並未阻止小騎士的行動，但袖手旁觀的滋味還是讓她心痛。
- 獲取暗影披風並從深淵底部安全爬上入口時，可以在門口遇到大黃蜂。
目睹小騎士從深淵中毫髮未損地脫身後，大黃蜂相信它現在有能力作出選擇：延續聖巢的停滯狀態，或直面瘟疫的核心。
- 獲取虛空之心並殺死三位守夢者後，大黃蜂會在黑卵聖殿的入口等候着小騎士。
小騎士打破封印並接受了自己內在的虛空，大黃蜂對此很佩服，並稱它為超凡出眾的存在。
封印開啟後，大黃蜂說因為自己的力量會被黑卵耗竭而無法進去協助小騎士。不過要是有合適的時機，她依然會竭盡所能。
而她確實做到了。在空洞騎士快被擊敗時，她用針線在空洞騎士的面具上開了一條縫隙，好讓小騎士進入它的夢境，直面瘟疫的核心。
小騎士可以在神居中挑戰大黃蜂的兩種形態。
神居中的大黃蜂知道自己的心智被入侵了，並且正和小騎士在共享的夢境中戰鬥。
- 沒有獲得虛空之心也沒有擊敗輻光：
- 大黃蜂並不會參與到小騎士的旅途結尾中。
- 只擊敗了空洞騎士而沒有擊敗輻光：
- 大黃蜂最後被擊暈，並和她的同胞一起被封印在黑卵中。
- 擊敗輻光：
- 黑卵消失，留下的只有大黃蜂和她的針線，以及小騎士的破碎面具。
- 擊敗無上輻光：
- 大黃蜂目睹黑卵外的瘟疫逐漸退卻，並被走出黑卵的空洞騎士嚇了一跳，做好了戰鬥準備。

Quick with her deadly needle, relentless in battle, Hornet is exploring Hallownest to find the answer to a riddle that has plagued her.
She has so far resisted the infection, but will still cut you down if you stand in her path.
You may catch glimpses of Hornet during your exploration of Hallownest, although she always seems to be one or two steps ahead of you.
If you do manage to catch up with her, be wary! Her needle can cut a bug down from thirty yards.
