簡介
神話考究
是新約中基督耶穌有提到的鬼王，所以在撒旦名號的爭奪戰之中也有很高的聲望。惡魔學將他定位成地獄的宰相，也有著作中以別西卜為地獄的帝王，設定撒旦只是來到地獄的"野黨首領"，希望尋求別西卜的合作對抗天庭。所羅門的著作中乃刻劃成巨大的小牛或長尾巴的公羊，另外最有名的形態就是巨大的蒼蠅。 所以也被稱作「蒼蠅王」。《失樂園》將其描繪成深思熟慮、外貌威嚴的賢者，在墮天者中僅次於路西法好姬友。在巴勒斯坦的名氣僅次於路西法，民間就將他和撒旦及路西法常視為同一人。
1589年Peter Binsfeld把七宗罪與惡魔聯繫在一起，認為代表各種罪行的惡魔會引誘擁有相同罪行的人。其中別西卜對應的是暴食(Gluttony)。

別西卜（ ）其實是你第一個真正見到的角色，也是最後一個你可以攻略的角色。- 惡魔的角年齡越大越白。別西卜是遊戲中唯二角是白色的惡魔娘之一（另一位是路西法）。

不過該怎麼引入一個不會透露「老婆」人設的萌娘呢？
這時大蒼蠅來了。
曾考慮過給她來個戴安娜王妃那樣的象裝，但最終還是弄了個不同的服裝設計。
只有袖口保留了下來。
